HSBC Canada Sevens Vancouver & Victoria announce Premier partnership with The Keg Steakhouse + Bar; Three year deal to help bring world class rugby to B.C.
November 4th 2015 – Vancouver BC: The Canada Sevens organizing committee for the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series events announced today The Keg Steakhouse + Bar as the first Premier Partner of the 2016 HSBC Canada Sevens tournaments that begin in March 2016. The partnership includes sponsorship of both the Men’s and Women’s tournaments, taking place respectively from March 12 and 13 in Vancouver at BC Place Stadium, and in Langford, BC, April 16 and 17, 2016, at Westhills Stadium.

The HSBC Canada Sevens Vancouver and HSBC Canada Women’s Sevens Victoria/Langford are international events on the HSBC Men’s and Women’s World Sevens Series, featuring the best rugby sevens players in the world. In addition to the Series events, Rugby Sevens will make its debut as an Olympic sport at the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro. The inaugural HSBC Canada Men’s Sevens Vancouver comes to BC Place on March 12 & 13, 2016. The second annual HSBC Canada Women’s Sevens comes to the home of Canadian Rugby at Westhills Stadium in Langford, BC on April 16 and 17.

Canada’s Men’s and Women’s Sevens Teams are consistently ranked among the best international sides in the world. Canada’s Women’s Team won their first-ever tournament in Amsterdam last season to cap off a record year as they finished the series in second place behind only New Zealand, while the Men’s Team finished ninth on their respective series. Both men’s and women’s teams get the 2015-16 season underway next month in Dubai with excitement building towards Rio de Janeiro next August.
Approximately 15,000 tournament passes, representing 30,000 tickets, have already been sold for the HSBC Canada Men’s Sevens Vancouver, with Premium seating already sold out, and less than 5% of reserved seating remaining for purchase. General admission tickets are also available, and single-day tickets go on-sale as of November 17th in the General Admission section only.
Tickets for the HSBC Canada Women’s Sevens Victoria go on-sale as of January 14th, 2016, with more information on pricing to be released leading up to on-sale.
