HSBC Canada Sevens Tournament Update (August 27, 2021)

Rugby Canada is looking forward to hosting our HSBC Canada Sevens events in Vancouver and Edmonton next month! We welcome the 16 confirmed competing nations listed below, some of whom will be making their debuts in Canada. Tournament staff remain in contact with relevant health authorities and stadium operators with regards to the updated COVID regulations recently announced.

We will provide further information as available regarding any impacts to events stadium operations and the fan experience. Limited tickets for both Vancouver and Edmonton are available and can be purchased by visiting the HSBC Canada Sevens tournament website.

ABOUT HSBC CANADA SEVENS
HSBC Canada Sevens are two-day Rugby Sevens tournaments featuring the world’s top men’s sevens teams. In 2021, HSBC Canada Sevens will be the first and second stops in a 6-stop world tour as part of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. The first event will be hosted at BC Place in Vancouver, BC on September 18-19 with the second following on September 25-26 at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton.

Sevens rugby, a fast-paced and shorter version of traditional rugby with only seven players per side, has built a huge international audience through the success of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, which attracts large audiences in markets around the world.
