As excitement continues to build for the 2022 event (April 16-17), HSBC Canada Sevens is delighted to announce a two-year partnership agreement with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) as the tournament’s Official Sports Betting Partner through PlayNow Sports.
Featuring a full-capacity seated lower bowl at BC Place for the first time since the 2020 event, next month’s BIG return of the Canada Sevens will bring together the world’s top men’s Sevens teams in Vancouver for two days of enthralling on-field action. Tickets, with limited availability in some categories, can be purchased here.
Off the field, BCLC will enhance fan experience and engagement even further through a series of pre-event and in-stadium promotions, including a freebet offer for adults 19+, merchandise giveaways and seat upgrades.
“As B.C.’s local sportsbook, BCLC’s PlayNow Sports is proud to be the official sports betting partner of one of British Columbia’s premier sporting events,” said Peter ter Weeme, BCLC’s Chief Social Purpose Officer and Vice President, Player Experience. “We’re looking forward to a weekend of exciting rugby action and working to further enhance an already great fan experience at the Canada Sevens.”
Unlike other unregulated or offshore websites, revenue generated by BCLC’s PlayNow.com goes back to British Columbians by supporting healthcare, education and community programs. As the province’s only regulated online gambling website, PlayNow.com provides a safe and secure website that players can trust, including tools and safeguards to support healthy play, and seamless deposits or withdrawals.
“We are thrilled to welcome BCLC’s PlayNow Sports to the HSBC Canada Sevens family as the event’s Official Sports Betting Partner,” commented Gareth Rees, Director of Commercial Partnerships and Broadcast, Rugby Canada. “The HSBC Canada Sevens is famous for its iconic atmosphere and fan experience, and we are delighted to be able to provide even more value to our fans through this partnership.”
