HELP US SUPPORT LOCAL YOUTH RUGBY
April 25, 2017
The HSBC Canada Women’s Sevens, along with Rugby Canada athletes, are taking on an exciting initiative to support grassroots rugby!
In an effort to continue growing the game of rugby in Canadian communities, our organizations have partnered with Kidsport Greater Victoria, a local charity focused on supporting children in sport.
When purchasing a tournament pass to the HSBC Canada Women’s Sevens, use the code C7KIDSPORT!
For every tournament pass purchased using this code, we will donate $5.00 to Kidsport Greater Victoria, where the proceeds will be put towards young rugby players in the Victoria area.
ABOUT KIDSPORT GREATER VICTORIA
KidSport Greater Victoria is a licensed local chapter of the charitable organization KidSport Canada. There are roughly 150 chapters across the country, and our local Victoria chapter remains one of the very largest, in terms of both the number of local children we reach annually (currently over 1400 and growing every year) and in terms of the number of dollars we distribute to local sport organizations to ensure these children (all 5-18 years old and all living in financial need) have opportunity to play. Every year we send out about $400,000 in season of sport registration grants so that kids who wouldn’t otherwise have opportunity to participate in organized sport can do so.
